This is the church of Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe (Our Lady of Guadalupe) in Anis, a community of Curarén. The church’s roof was deteriorating, so the Red Lantern Foundation gave the community money for a new roof, shown above.
The people of Anis have great spirit and are always thinking of ways to beautify their church. Because the community is growing rapidly, and because they have many children, it won’t be long before they’ll need to either expand their church or build a new one. That is the story of so many of our parish’s 87 churches.
