On March 7, 2020, the people of Pueblo Nuevo celebrated the dedication of their new church, Our Lady of Suyapa.
The special Mass included music provided by the band of Santa Rita, a community of Alubarén, and children and youth from the Pueblo Nuevo community helped Father Bob with the blessing of the church by dipping pine branches into holy water and sprinkling the church inside and out.

The Red Lantern Foundation helped this community fund the construction of the new church.
