All Souls’ Day

Today Catholic Christians celebrate All Souls’ Day, a day when we remember and honor the memory of those who have died.

In Honduras and many other countries, families often go to cemeteries to put fresh flowers at the gravesides of their loved ones. They also ask God to grant eternal salvation to those who have gone before them.

Because Catholic Christians believe that God’s love and mercy have no limits, we also ask God to grant salvation all people, that is, to everyone who has ever lived, everyone who is alive today, and everyone who will live in the future.
