This is the Church of Our Lady of Suyapa in Costita, a community of Curarén, F.M., Honduras. It is a 2-hour journey by truck from Reitoca.
As you can see from this photo, the church is quite humble. And because it a distance from Reitoca, it doesn’t have Mass very often. The Delegados de la Palabra, however, conduct Liturgies of the Word on Thursdays and Sundays here in Costita as they do in every church of our parish that doesn’t have Masses on Sundays.
The people of the community are warm and welcoming, and they are always happy to be able to celebrate Mass.
