Americans coming for a mission retreat to the Holy Cross campus in Reitoca, F.M., Honduras, experience another world, a mountain world engulfed in poverty.
However, the Holy Cross campus is a beautiful little oasis that has been described by visitors as, “A little bit of paradise” and “a sea of tranquility.” Some have described the little houses for visitors as the “Cadillac of cabins.”
In the photo above, we see three folks dining in the beautiful community of Ojojona. Specifically, they are at Casa y Campo (House and Field), a magnificent restaurant specializing in meat dishes. From left to right are Isaí Pérez (Fr. Bob’s driver); Dr. Aaron Mejía of Tegucigalpa; and Rev. John McLaughlin, a pastor from Wilmington, North Carolina who was visiting Honduras.
So, if you’re thinking of coming for a mission retreat, be assured that we’ll take very good care of you!
