Happy Anniversary…to us! Yes, it’s hard to believe, but our website, missionpriest.com, is officially celebrating its First Anniversary! During that time, we have had over 200 posts featuring: the exciting parish of San Francisco de Asís headquartered in Reitoca, F.M., Honduras; missionary heroes; Sunday Scripture reflections; and holiday messages. I hope you have enjoyed them and continue to enjoy them as we enter our second year!
Though I came up with the idea for such a mission website and committed myself to the writing of it, the site would not have been possible without Dr. Aaron Mejía, Mr. Eduardo Rivera, and WordPress.
Dr. Aaron Mejía is the “brains” of the website. He faithfully checks over each and every post before it appears . He especially examines the Spanish posts and prepares the photos. Dr. Aaron is the physician of Clínica Santa María, one of the healthcare facilities of our parish here in Reitoca. Our healthcare projects are the result of help we have had from our sister parish, the Basilica Shrine of St. Mary in Wilmington, North Carolina; SaludHondu; and the Red Lantern Foundation.
Mr. Eduardo Rivera is the founder and head of ER3webdesign.com. Eduardo named his company after his little son, Eduardo III. Eduardo designed our website and graciously helps us when we have technical difficulties. Eduardo currently lives in San Pedro Sula, Honduras, with his son and wife, Dr. Clarissa Isabel Chinchilla Delgado, an ENT physician.
Special thanks go to WordPress for helping our site appear faithfully four times a week. Without them, none of this could be possible.
And finally, and most importantly, we thank you, dear readers, for your enthusiasm and kind words along the way. After all, this website is designed for you, allowing you to get a glimpse into the world of foreign missions. I hope that one day you might come to visit in person. We have two visitors’ cabins waiting for you. I’ll leave the light on for you!
Gratefully yours,
Fr. Bob Kus
