Today is the feast of St. Maximillian Kolbe, a Franciscan Conventual priest who gave his life to save another man in the notorious Nazi prison camp named Auschwitz in World War II.
Today is also the Vigil of the Feast of the Assumption of Mary. In May of each year, the 40 churches of our parish create spaces to honor St. Mary, mother of Jesus and wife of St. Joseph. Each day, people gather to pray and bring flowers to Mary.
