On January 6, 2024, in the Basilica of Our Lady of Suyapa, Archbishop José Vicente ordained two young men to the priesthood, Fathers Eduin and Samuel.
Fr. Samuel Salgado (left in the photo) is originally from San Juan del Rancho, a part of the Federal District of Honduras. He will begin his priesthood by serving as a vicar in the beautiful pueblo of Ojojona with Fr. Tony Avery, dean of the San Francisco de Asís Deanery.
Fr. Eduin Figueroa (right in the photo) is originally from the pueblo and municipality of Curarén. He will begin his priesthood as a vicar in the Basilica of Suyapa in Tegucigalpa.
Both young men are in their 20s. Prayers are most welcome as they begin their exciting lives as ordained priests.
