Today, Catholic Christians celebrate the feast of the Most Holy Trinity.

Though the Bible does not specifically use the term “Trinity” to refer to God, theologians and Bible scholars point out many places in both the Old and New Testaments indicating the trinitarian nature of God.

Basically, the doctrine of the Trinity says that there is One God, and in this One God, there are Three Divine Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

It would be centuries before the Catholic Church came to agreement on this doctrine.

Catholic Christians honor this central doctrine of our Faith by making the Sign of the Cross before and after we pray, saying, “In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.”

Although here in Honduras Father’s Day is celebrated in Honduras on the feast of Saint Joseph, March 19, today is Father’s Day in the 3 main nations of North America: Canada, Mexico, and the United States.  Happy Father’s Day to all dads, dads-to-be, grandfathers, and great-grandfathers!  May God shower you with many blessings today and all the days of your lives!
