In today’s reading from St. Paul’s letter to the Philippians, we read, in part:
“Brothers and sisters: If there is any encouragement in Christ, any solace in love, any participation in the Spirit, any compassion and mercy, complete my joy by being of the same mind, with the same love, united in heart, thinking one thing. Do nothing out of selfishness or out of vainglory; rather, humbly regard others as more important than yourselves, each looking out not for one’s own interest, but also for those of others” (2: 1-4).
The themes of this piece of writing are humility and charity, both virtues highly valued by Jesus. And like all virtues, they become more entrenched the more they are practiced in daily life.

I too go to Mass online right now. Mass has resumed at Church, however, my health gives me pause due to COVID. I do look forward to returning. Putting others first is a worthy goal, and I am sure you do Lorraine. Bless you and I hope you will continue attending Mass. No matter the way, you are still present. God always hears us, no matter where we are.
I have never left a comment here but……………………….
I would like you to know that because of COVID-19, I have been going to Mass via online at the Cathedral. I go without readings, only my hymnal. It is posted but my go to is going to your post first. I highly value people who have given of their whole self and really begin as a Blind person in their desires to help and the light appears to them, but maybe to other people first. It is – putting your people first, not yourself. No matter what your profession is in life, this can be you too.
