The pueblo of Reitoca, main town of the municipality of Reitoca, is in a very poor part of southern Honduras in the mountains. Actually, 85% of Honduras is considered mountainous. This is the new sign that graces the plaza of Reitoca that sits in front of the Catholic Church of San Francisco de Asís, the town center.
The municipality of Reitoca is over 90 square miles and has 24 of the 90 churches of our parish. Because of the intense heat that is almost always present in Reitoca during the day, the pueblo livens up when the sun goes down.
