Today is the first day of summer in the northern hemisphere, so “Happy Summer” to all up North! I hope you have summer filled with picnics, vacations, and other outdoor adventures!
Here in Honduras, we have two seasons, summer and winter. Summer is November through April. School kids are on summer vacation in November, December, and January. The new school year begins in February.
Winter is May through October. Winter and Summer have the same temperature where I live – HOT – but, the “summer” is desert-like with almost no rain. The “winter,” on the other hand, usually has rain in the late afternoon and evening, and the land becomes jungle-like with vegetation.
