Tomorrow, Honduras and four other nations of Central America celebrate Independence Day. The four other nations celebrating this day are Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, and Nicaragua.
All through Honduras, from cities to small villages, there are usually celebrations of one kind or another on this national holiday. Usually, all children and youth who are in school are part of the parades for the day. There are often fireworks, special food, speeches, dancing, and the like. Unfortunately, the pandemic has put a damper on the usual celebrations, so celebrations will be less exuberant than in “normal times.”
