This is the church of Cunimisca, a community of Curarén, F.M., Honduras.
I first encountered this church five days before Christmas of 2018. The first thing that impressed me was how vibrant this community is! The people filled the church and were extremely welcoming.
In that Mass, I baptized a child and blessed a 5-year old boy on his birthday. The little boy who was celebrating his birthday was pretty shy, so as soon as I finished blessing him, he dashed out the back door of the church to the applause and laughter of the congregation.
The name of the church in Cunimisca is Carmen, short for Our Lady of Mount Carmel.
Beautiful craftsmanship on the church. The stucco, tile and paint work are first class, I also noticed the government blue painted house in the distance.
