This is the Church of La Victorina, a community of Curarén, F.M., Honduras. Its name is San Antonio de Padua.
The first time I went to this community, the Delegada de la Palabra of the church was very surprised to see us, for nobody had informed the community that I was coming for Mass. That, however, proved to be no problem. A man of the community rang the church “bell,” which is actually a suspended wheel rim, and within 20 minutes, the church was filled to overflowing. What an incredible testament to the faith of the people of La Victorina that was. From that day forward, the community has had a very special place in my heart.
