This is the church of Los Amates, a community of Alubarén, F.M., Honduras. The name of the church is Divina Misericordia (Divine Mercy).
The patronal feast day of the church is the Second Sunday of Easter that, since 2000, when Pope John Paul II proclaimed it to be Divine Mercy Sunday. The people of the community celebrate the feast with food, music, firecrackers, and visiting.
This new church is bright and very well cared for thanks to excellent leadership and a spirited community.
