Rebalse is a community of Reitoca and is only about a 15-minute drive from the pueblo of Reitoca. A few years ago, we had to drive through two rivers – or maybe it was one river two times – to get to this village. Today, however, we are able to use bridges.
The name of the church in Rebalse is Nuestra Señora de Suyapa (Our Lady of Suyapa), the patron saint of Honduras. This community is noted for its excellent leadership and strong faith of the people.
Currently, the people are putting finishing touches on their new church, for they long ago outgrew the old one. Soon, there will be plenty of room to fit in everyone.
