This is the Church of San Isidro in a community of the same name. It is part of the municipality of Curarén, and it is more than an hour-and-a-half drive from Reitoca. The patron saint of the Church is St. Isidore the Worker, a farm laborer who lived in the Eleventh and Twelfth Century Spain.
Though the community is very poor, it is very rich in friendliness and hospitality. The people there, like all our communities, are always thrilled when they get to celebrate Mass. For most of the year, they celebrate Liturgies of the Word on Thursdays and Sundays, led by their Delegado de la Palabra, José María Ramírez.
