This is the Church of Nuestra Señora de Fátima (Our Lady of Fatima) in Tinorio, a community of Curarén.
I first encountered this community in March of 2019, and I have been back there once more to celebrate Mass. The community of Tinorio is a very welcoming one. The first time I was there, we had five baptisms in the Mass.
Like many in our rural mountain parish, most people do not have transportation because they are very poor. It is not uncommon for people to walk a couple of hours to church on wild mountain trails, because their faith is so strong.
