One of the things that we can always say about the parish where I serve, San Francisco de Asís, is that it is always growing.
Currently, for example, there are two new churches under construction, both part of the municipality of Alubarén.
The photo above shows one of the new churches under constructions in the community of Jícaro. A Jícaro is a special kind of tree that grows here, and it is a very distinct shape. You’d never confuse a Jícaro with another kind of tree. I don’t know what the people of Jícaro are proposing to name their church, but I’ll keep you posted when I find out.
