This is the sanctuary of the church in Mandastá, a community of Curarén, F.M., Honduras. The name of the church is Carmen.
In this photo, we see people beginning to gather to celebrate Mass. Carmen is about an hour’s drive from the seat of the parish in Reitoca, so the people don’t have Mass very frequently. However, like the more than 80 church of our parish, the people always have at least two services a week conducted by Delegados de la Palabra – Delegates of the Word. These specially-trained men and women conduct Liturgies of the Word in the absence of the priest.
