This is a photo of some of the folks from Escalón, a community of Curarén, F.M., Honduras, visiting after a Mass on July 4, 2018.
Sometime after this visit, this church, Inmaculada Concepción, collapsed and became unusable. The community is now trying to gather enough money to finish building a brick church in another location.
Like all of the other churches of our far-flung parish, this community has Liturgy of the Word services every Thursday and Sunday, led by a Delegado or Delegada. And like the other communities of our parish, the church is the center of the people’s lives. Therefore, it is very important for them to get their church finished.
