In today’s Gospel reading from Luke (24: 13-35, we hear the fascinating story of Jesus’ walk to Emmaus from Jerusalem. After he had risen from the dead, he began walking with two disciples. At first, they didn’t recognize him, but after explaining the Old Testament Scriptures to them, they invited him to eat. It was then, when he took bread, blessed it, broke it, and gave it to them that their eyes were opened.
Because of our baptism, we too are called to spread the good news of Jesus. How do you Jesus with others?

Padre Bob, I am so glad that you have and remain a part of my Priestly Ministry. The Basilica Shrine of St. Mary Parish has a special place in my heart. The times spent on the missionary trips to Honduras were incredible and spiritually uplifting. My prayers for your continued success in spreading the Gospel. You have truly taken the task that Christ has given each of his baptized children to “go forth and proclaim the good news” to heart. May God continue to guide and protect you in all your endevours. I look forward to visiting soon. God Bless you and your ministry. Fr. Dave
