Suyapa is an aldea, or suburb of the capital city of Tegucigalpa. Suyapa hosts an old shrine dedicated to Our Lady of Suyapa, and the larger Basilica of Suyapa. In between the shrine and basilica is a large plaza where one can often find homemade food, religious items for sale, beggars, pilgrims, and sometimes even festivals.
In this photo, we see a cook making delicious homemade food for the many visitors who come to the plaza.
