Big news from our parish! The cardinal has assigned our pastor, Fr. Carlos Lagos Cantillano, to be a vicar in the Basilica of Our Lady of Suyapa beginning in February.
Fr. Lagos was ordained on June 8, 2019 in the Basilica of Suyapa as a priest of the Archdiocese of Tegucigalpa. He immediately became pastor of our parish, San Francisco de Asís, which is headquartered in Reitoca, F.M., Honduras.
Originally, Fr. Carlos is from the Reitocan community of Tabanco, high in the mountains where pines grow and the air is very cool.
Fr. Carlos will join another basilica vicar, newly-ordained Fr. Darwin Medina of Reitoca.
We wish Fr. Carlos all best in his new and exciting assignment!
