This year, the pueblo of Alubarén got its letters, and now they are decorated for Christmas. The letters sit in front of the park which sits in front of the Church of San Lorenzo (Saint Lawrence), the oldest church of San Francisco de Asís parish where I serve as the missionary vicar.
The Church of San Lorenzo is over 400 years old, and the pueblo of Alubarén was founded 100 years before the United States of America was founded.
The Alubarén park is a wonderland of colorful lights during this time of year, bringing cheer to one and all.
