Josué Trinidad Quintano Amaya is a seminarian in the Archdiocese of Tegucigalpa, Honduras.  Originally from the department of Intibucá, he is 28 years old and the youngest of thirteen children of María Elena and Ruperto Quintano, in a family deeply marked by Christian values and a spirit of hard work.

From childhood, he felt a calling to the priesthood.  Although the priest only visited his village once a year to celebrate Mass, that occasional visit was enough to instill in him a constant desire for a life dedicated to the service of God and the Church.

During his preparation for the sacrament of Confirmation, he experienced a more conscious and active engagement with Church life.  This time was crucial for deepening his understanding of the faith and strengthening his Christian commitment.  Upon receiving Confirmation, he perceived the Lord’s call with greater clarity.  Accompanied by a priest, he began a serious process of vocational discernment which, after a journey of prayer and spiritual accompaniment, led him to enter the country’s Interdiocesan Seminary, the “Our Lady of Suyapa” Major Seminary, in Honduras.

In 2025, he completed his initial formation and was sent to carry out his year of mission or vocational synthesis at the Parish of Saint Francis of Assisi in Reitoca, Francisco Morazán.  With the permission of his bishop, Monsignor José Vicente, he is undertaking this pastoral experience, which constitutes a fundamental learning experience and a decisive stage in his preparation for the future priestly ministry.
