On July 30, 2023, the community of La Libertad received a beautiful crucifix as a gift from someone outside of the parish.
The photo above shows the crucifix. Note the beautiful colors of the grapes, grape leaves and crown of thorns, and the intricate craving.
La Libertad is one of the four municipalities of our parish. The name of the church in the pueblo of La Libertad is Nuestra Señora de Mercedes (Our Lady of Mercies).
