This is the Church of Divina Misericordia (Divine Mercy) in Los Amates, a community of Alubarén, F.M., Honduras. Los Amates is one of the 40 churches of our parish of San Francisco de Asís, headquartered in Reitoca, F.M., Honduras.
In this photo, we see the altar area of the church on the Second Sunday of Easter, 2024, their patronal feast day. Since the year 2000, the Second Sunday of Easter has been dedicated to the Divine Mercy of Jesus. In the Catholic Christian worldview, God’s love and mercy have no limits, which is why we ask God for the salvation of all human beings…past, present, and future.
