Making Honey

One does not always need fancy factories to make delicious candies and other sweets.  In the parish of San Francisco de Asís, making honey out of homegrown sugar cane is a time-honored occupation.  From this honey, workers can make incredibly delicious treats enjoyed by kids and adults alike.

In this photo, we see some young men of San Marco, a community of Curarén, F.M., Honduras, stirring the liquid sugar cane until it becomes honey.  A little boy, who is not shown in the photo, happily serves as a taste-tester for the products.
