Meet Arnulfo!

Fr. Bob Kus

Today I introduce to you Mr. Arnulfo García Lagos.

Arnulfo García Lagos has the honor of being one of the four original staff members of Clínica Santa María.

Arnulfo was born on May 27, 1965 in Reitoca, F.M. Honduras.

With his first wife, Arnulfo has five children: Freddy (26), German (24), Vilma (20), Telma (18), and Kevin (12).  He is currently married to Seidy Alvarado and they have an 11-month old son, Cristian.

Arnulfo attended Escuela José Trinidad Cabañas in Reitoca for six years as a child.

From the very beginning of Clínica Santa María, Arnulfo has served as a jack-of-all-trades.  Not only has he kept the clinic clean and orderly, but he has spent much time solving problems with the structure of the clinic and fixing what needs to be fixed. He does his work efficiently, quietly, and effectively.  He also helps transport patients when needed to the hospital and helps patients in any way he can.

In his leisure time, Mr. García is learning how to play songs for Mass. From 2010-2016, he was a Delegado de la Palabra in the parish of San Francisco de Asís.  Delegados are men and women specially trained to administer the various churches of the parish, conduct Liturgies of the Word, lead prayer services following deaths, and do other things to serve the community in the absence of a priest.

When not at the clinic, he is often farming corn and beans and raising hens. To relax, he likes to listen to music and spend time with his family.

In the future, he would love to have his own house.
