Meet Ricci!

Fr. Bob Kus

Today I introduce to you another member of our parish’s healthcare team, Ricci Yohana González Sevilla.

Ricci serves as the pharmacy technician in Farmacia San Francisco de Asís in Reitoca, F.M., Honduras.  She was born in Reitoca on June 11, 1997.

Her father, Anselmo González, is a carpenter, and her mother, Orfilia Sevilla López, is a homemaker.  Ricci has two brothers and three sisters.   Alex, 36, is a taxi driver; Sandra, 34, is a retail worker; Maribel, 32, is a housewife; Dilcia Marleny, 29, is a business owner; and Marvin Nahún, 27, is an apprentice carpenter.

Ricci attended Escuela Urbana Mixta José Trinidad Cabañas in Reitoca for her first six years of school and graduated in 2011.  She completed her high school at Instituto Técnico Francisco Cruz Irías, also in Reitoca, in 2015.  She has a bachelor in computer science.

Ricci has big dreams for the future.  First, she plans to take a special two-month course in Tegucigalpa to become certified as a pharmacy technician.  Then, in time, she would like to study veterinary medicine to become a veterinarian so she can better help her family.

Ricci enjoys singing, watching movies (comedies being her favorite), and sharing time with family and friends.

For Ricci, her faith is very important.  In fact, one can always find her singing in the choir at San Francisco de Asís Catholic Church in Reitoca for Masses.  And, she says that her greatest desire is to become a better person every day to please God.

As a pharmacy tech, Ricci loves the opportunity to interact with a wide variety of people.  She enjoys explaining the drugs to the people she serves, and she has the joy of knowing that by serving others, she is serving God.
