Today I introduce to you Dr. Andrea, pharmacist of our parish’s newest healthcare facility.
Dr. Andrea Jackeline Ayala Rivera has the great honor of being the founding pharmacist of Farmacia Candelaria in Curarén, F.M., Honduras. Dr. Ayala opened the pharmacy in October 2019.
Andrea was born on February 24, 1995 in Tegucigalpa, F.M., the capital of Honduras.
Her father, Oscar Yovany, is an economist, and her mother Isabel Yamileth, is a school administrator. Dr. Ayala’s brother, Oscar Geovany, 33, is a chartered accountant, and her 26-year old sister Wenngy Gabriela is a lawyer.
Andrea graduated from Escuela José Pineda Gómez in 2006 and finished high school at Escuela Gran Comisión in 2011 from which she received her Bachelor of Science and Letters. She studied chemistry and pharmacy at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de Honduras (UNAH) and received her license to practice pharmacy in 2019.
Eventually, Dr. Ayala would like to obtain a diploma in Higher Education so she can teach in universities, and she would like to obtain a Master in Analytical Chemistry in Mexico.
For fun, Andrea likes to watch movies (especially horror ones), reading (her favorite being romance), and listening to all kinds of music.
In her future, she would like to have a family, travel and get to know Greece, and teach in a university.
Dr. Andrea’s faith is important to her. In her work, she is able to show respect, compassion, and love towards other people.
For Dr. Ayala, faith not only involves believing in God and the sacrifice Jesus made for us, but it also involves living a life according to His will. Therefore, Andrea strives to always show her love for God in her work and her daily activities and to have an intimate relationship with God.
I love to read about the lives of these vibrant people, who contribute so much dedication and love to the parish.
