This is the altar area of the Church of Our Lady of Suyapa in Cinco Pinos, a community of Curarén, F.M., Honduras.
As you can see from the photo, this church is very humble, but the people have great energy and joy and resiliency. In 2019, the community got electricity for the first time.

I have no idea. I just thought it was a garland that came undone! Next time I see one, however, I’ll ask about it. Fr. Bob

Is there any significance to that strand of garland in the shape of a seven. I have seen that a couple of times and was wondering what that may mean to the parishioners.
