Although many countries that are primarily Catholic Christian, such as Honduras, celebrate Father’s Day on the feast of St. Joseph, March 19, in the United States of America, today is Father’s Day.
In the photo above, we see a proud father, Evaristo with his daughter Delsi Jaquelin Hernández. They are enjoying a luncheon that followed a special Mass on their church’s patronal feast day, December 12, 2019. Their church, Our Lady of Guadalupe, is in Anís, a community of Curarén, F.M., Honduras.
The vocation of father is a most noble and complex one. I wish all fathers, fathers-to-be, and grandfathers the very happiest of Happy Father’s Days! May you have many, many more, and may God bless you and your families!
