Today is Armed Forces Day in the United States. The purpose of this day is to honor all those currently serving in the U.S. armed forces: Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marines, Navy, and Space Force. Therefore, this holiday is different from Memorial Day, which honors those who died serving in the military, and Veterans Day, which honors living veterans.
