Most of the 41 churches of our parish serve not only as places of worship, but also as the center of social life of the community.  When people come to church, they can learn about what’s new in their community as well as what’s new in the parish that is scattered over 125 square miles and serves 30,000 parishioners.

Meeting each other after Mass is a very important part of life for our parishioners, especially those in remote areas of the parish where people have no transportation and interaction with outsiders are limited.

In the photo above, we see people from our parish’s church of María Auxiliadora in the La Libertad community of Pedrero.  Though the name of our parish is San Francisco de Asís, each of our parish’s churches have their own name.
